Originating from the northwest of Alaska, the Alaskan Malamute is one of the oldest breeds of sled dogs. Bred by the Mahlemiut tribe, this dog was used for hunting and transportation in harsh Arctic conditions. Its popularity skyrocketed during the Gold Rush in the 19th century, where it became an indispensable companion for gold seekers.

The Alaskan Malamute is a dog of great strength, endurance, and elegance, perfect for lovers of wide open spaces. Although it is a hard worker, it is also an affectionate and friendly companion, especially with children. However, it requires a suitable environment and plenty of exercise to avoid boredom and undesirable behaviors.
