The Anglo-French of Small Game is the result of the crossing between several hunting dogs, such as the Petit Bleu de Gascogne, the Harrier, the Poitevin, and the Porcelaine. It was initially named Petit Anglo-Français before receiving its definitive name in 1978, after the publication of its first standard. This dog was primarily developed for hunting and is recognized for its exceptional skills in this field.

Although primarily intended for hunting, this dog can be a good companion dog, but only if its energy is properly channeled.
